Accessibility Statement

Nextstapp UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is committed to making the Lingzy website (lingzy.net) accessible, in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG).

Conformance Status

This website does not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA (as referenced by EN 301 549). We have carried out a self-assessment against the AA success criteria and are addressing the gaps we found; the site has not yet undergone an independent, formal accessibility audit.

Measures Taken

Steps we have taken to support accessibility on this website include:

  • Correct page-language markup across English and German pages — including English legal-page content nested inside German pages — so screen readers use the right pronunciation.
  • Keyboard operability for interactive controls, including the language switcher and the homepage image carousel.
  • A visible pause/play control for the homepage image carousel, and inactive slides are hidden from assistive technology so only the current slide is announced.
  • A "skip to main content" link for keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation.
  • A visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
  • Reduced motion for users with a "prefers reduced motion" system setting — animations and the homepage carousel's automatic rotation are minimized or disabled.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and icon-only controls.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following gaps and are working to address them:

  • The Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Account Deletion pages have not yet been translated into German; visitors on the German (/de/) URL see this content in English (marked with the correct English language attribute so it is read out correctly).
  • The redirect page shown to visitors coming from the TikTok in-app browser displays fixed English instructional text, even under the German URL.
  • Color contrast has not yet been formally audited across every page.
  • This statement is based on internal review, not an independent third-party accessibility audit.

Scope

This statement covers the Lingzy marketing website at lingzy.net. It does not cover the Lingzy mobile app, which is a separate product. Internal administrative tools that require a login (under /admin) are not offered to the public and are excluded from this assessment.
